Weekly Update 13th December 2024

Dear Parents and Carers,
Today’s Weekly Update will be shorter than normal as we are preparing a bumper Christmas edition for next week with photographs of our Christmas activities in school.
We have had a wonderful week in school with three beautiful Advent productions: the Reception Carols, the KS2 Advent Service and the KS1 Nativity. It was lovely to see so many of you joining us for these. The children have all played their part in sharing the story of Jesus’s birth at Christmas and thank you very much for your generous donations to our Advent charities: the Vineyard Community and Small Steps.
Mgr Bill joined us for our KS1 Nativity this morning and this was an opportunity for us to congratulate him on the 40th anniversary of his ordination. We send him our thanks for all his support and best wishes from our school community.

Sports Update from Mr Sagar and Mrs Knowles
This morning, a team of girls and boys from Y5 and Y6 took part in a sportshall athletics competition. The children competed in a number of different jumping, throwing and running events and put into practice skills they have been learning in PE lessons. They enjoyed supporting each other and we are very proud of them. We are very grateful to Christ's School and their sports leaders for hosting this event.
This week’s Sports Value Award goes to Paddy in Y6 for ‘role model’ behaviour during the recent Cross Country competition.
