Dear Parents and Carers,

Class Information Sessions

It has been lovely to see so many parents at our Class Information Sessions which began this week. We hope that these are useful to you as a way to meet the classteachers and hear about the curriculum and routines for the class at the beginning of the term. They are certainly useful for us to hear feedback on how the children are settling and ways that we can support further.

Please do visit the Year Group pages on the school website where you will find information about curriculum for the class and the Knowledge Organisers for each subject. You can use these at home to look at subject specific vocabulary with your child and maybe plan a visit to somewhere linked to the topics your child is learning.

New School Year Mass

In our Mass yesterday our new Y6 Pupil Chaplains were commissioned. Mgr Bill presented them with their badges and explained how they were following in the footsteps of St Matthew whose feastday was being celebrated. We have a record number of Pupil Chaplains this year and they are all looking forward to carrying out their role which includes leading assemblies, prayer groups and charity initiatives. Thank you to Mgr Bill for saying Mass for us and to Y6 for preparing the prayers and readings.

PTA School Calendar - we need your help

In order to keep costs low for our very popular school calendar we urgently need donations of your skills/talents. If you are an amateur/professional photographer and can come to school to take class group photos, or if you have design experience and are willing to help with the layout (in previous years the calendars were produced using Adobe InDesign) please do get in touch with the PTA at stelizabethsrichmondpta@gmail.com
